VETO BY A VOTE OF 2-1 [/size]
oday, myself (NOLA Hornets) and Cleveland Cavaliers came to a trade agreement.
Cleveland Gets: PF Ryan Anderson, $8.7(Hornets paying 8.7M) $8.31(Hornets paying $6.23M) $8.49 $8.5 5th round NOLA draft pick
NOLA Gets: 2nd & 3rd round Cleveland draft picks
My team is obviously in a huge rebuilding stage, I'm looking to obtain as many young up and comers as possible who can peak with my core of Anthony Davis and Austin Rivers. I have quite a bit of salary cap room so I do not mind keeping a Anderson on my books to upgrade my draft options.

First off when he said he was paying 8.7% he meant 8.7M, or 100%. Also, as I posted in my last trade, I am looking to improve my team right away, and I feel Ryan Anderson is better than anyone available with the picks I am giving up. It also helps my cap situation for the next two years as I will only be paying a tad over 2M for 2 years on him

This trade is a bit of a head scratcher because of all the salary that is being covered by the Hornets. This essentially gives the Cavs a player that had an MVP type season last year for free on his roster this year, and pays a majority of his salary next year. The big question is will the Hornets find the equivalent value in rounds 2 and 3. Maybe Anderson was a fluke and benefited from all the attention Howard got, but it's hard to ignore the year he had last year. My worry is that the Cavs get a major salary advantage here giving them unbridled cap space in free agency that is likely to see some good veterans. Ill give it very reluctant pass.
1-0 in favor of pass, needs one more pass vote from League Manager to be made official.

The only thing that stops me from giving this a pass is the fact that the Cavs get Ryan Anderson virtually for free. Had that not been a provision, I would have given this a pass. VETO
The count stands at 1-1, with one more pass needed to approve the trade.

After much consideration, I'm gonna agree with the Warriors on this one. I see what NO is trying to do, build for the future. And maybe they can afford to pay the salary, but Cleveland is getting one of the top fantasy players of last year for FREE this year, and practically nothing next year as well. I would probably pass this trade if NO wasn't eating all of that salary. VETO
