League Max Contracts
Max Level Contracts: A max contract from the original team is 5 years and the player is automatically signed with his original team. If the original team declines to offer a max contract, a max contract from a team other than the original team is 4 years at the max rate. If two or more teams bid max level contracts, then the team with the higher waiver wire number wins the player for the max contract. You can structure the contract however you want, but you can only go up or down in $2 million increments.
2012/13 Max Contract will 20M for all players
