The Denver Nuggets trade:
Andre Iguodala, a 1st round pick (2013) and a 3rd round pick (2014)
for
Carlos Boozer
This is the win now strategy and sacrifice the future trade. Iggy does 15.0 while Carlos does an 18.8 per game. The 3.8 points per game more will cost me a 1st round pick and a 3rd and it gives me a player who is 31 while sacrificing a player that is 28 and a little bit better contract situation. If I don't win the league title this year, Ill be kicking myself in the off-season holding on to an aging contract worth 16+ mil. Carlos better stay healthy.

I agreed to this deal. While loosing Boozer will hurt my frontcourt I don't trust his age and contract so I made this deal. Boozer has been very solid this year and I have decided that since I am not going very far this year I will try to plan for the future of my team. Therefore I accepted this deal that will strengthen the future of my team.

Overpay by nuggets but reasons are pretty clear for both.

For what it's worth, I veto this trade. Iggy + a #3 or even just Iggy for Boozer straight up would have been even. The #1 pick, while likely close to the #20th overall pick, is just overkill.
