I just did the math on Max contracts for free agents for 2012.
League MAX for any contract will be an average of the TOP 5 players of the position.
PG - 15.51M
SG - 19.10M
SF - 13.82M
PF - 18.08M
C - 18.08M
This is the highest amount of money any player can be offered this year. If two or more teams offer any given player the max contract, the team with the higher waiver wire position will be awarded the free agent player in question for the max amount of money.
