NBA GM's
It was a great inaugural season for NBA GM. I want to extend a congratulations out to JAY who guided his Sixers club to the league title. Congratulations also go out to the Heat for their perfect regular season record and conference title, as well as the Nuggets and the Clippers for their division titles. I have handed out league awards that have been documented on the ESPN page.
We have a busy offseason ahead, with free agency and the the draft. In many ways the offseason is the busiest part of the season in salary cap leagues. I will give you updates as we approach some key dates, but judging by the free agent class that I have been organizing, the bidding wars this offseason should be outrageous.
I have put together a list of the 2013/14 free agent list, I would like everyone to look over the list to make sure I got everything right. The second thing I need is everyone's RFA Tags, and which players you will be applying them to in order to protect them for the 2013/14 season. A restricted free agent tag essentially means that the player that is tagged goes out into free agency with all other teams in the league having a right to place a silent restricted free agent contract with the team owning the tag having the last say so to match any offer from the rest of the league. Restricted free agent offers will be e-mailed to the league commissioner and the commissioner will conduct the restricted free agent bidding. Each owner will get up to one offer and only one offer if they are targeting a RFA from another ball club. I'll explain this again when we get closer to the beginning of the free agency period.
As far as dates concerning free agency and the draft, I don't have those yet. But, I will give fair notification.
For now I need those free agent tags and you can venture on over to the pro-boards site and start to check out the list of free agents for this offseason.
Again, it was a great season, and thanks to everyone that joined us.
